A five-minute ferry ride across the Co Chien River from the top of town accesses a patch of the delta's most breathtaking scenery. Known by locals as An Binh Island , in fact it's a jigsaw of bite-sized pockets of land, skeined by a fine web of channels and criss-crossed by dirt paths, making it ideal for a morning's rambling. A grove of longan trees a few paces north of the jetty shades sandy.
